Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Sr Software Engineer for a 6 Month Contract to Hire job opportunity, joining our DoD client located at the Langley Air Force base in Hampton, VA. This position requires 5 days onsite to start but will eventually transition to a hybrid schedule. The selected candidate will be working on developing and maintaining advanced software for a unique, highly configurable system called CHOBS, primarily using Microsoft technologies like C#, SQL, and ASP.net to support the Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS).

MUST HAVE ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE

Responsibilities for the Sr Software Engineer:
•Develop and maintain software using C#, SQL, C++, JavaScript, ASP.net, and Visual Basic for the CHOBS system in JMPS.
•Design, implement, and document software architectures, ensuring DoD standards compliance.
•Collaborate with team members and interact with customers to solicit requirements and provide support.
•Develop parallel processes, web applications, and system design diagrams, including coding and testing.
•Solicit requirements and provide user support and analysis in a small team environment.

Required Qualifications for the Sr Software Engineer:
•Minimum of 4+ years of programming experience with languages such as C#, C++, JavaScript, ASP.net, and Visual Basic, including design, development, test and evaluation, and integration.
•Experience in database development (e.g., SQL Server), web page design, computer-based training, and using .NET tools and Integrated Development Environments (e.g., Visual Studio) in software development.
•Security+ (DoD 8570 Level 2) certification and the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret clearance.
•Familiarity with military air mission planning, scheduling, and execution, as well as knowledge of Microsoft Windows System Administration and client-server architectures.
•Strong interpersonal skills, team player attitude, and excellent communication abilities, with experience working directly with government contract customers.

Compensation of the Sr Software Engineer:

• Salary Range: $105,000 - $125,000depending on experiences & non-negotiable above this range
