The Mouw Laboratory () at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA is looking for an exceptional research technician interested in studying the role of DNA repair pathway alterations in tumor biology and therapy response. The laboratory uses a combination of genomic and functional approaches and is broadly interested in understanding how DNA damage and repair processes interact to drive genomic instability, tumor evolution, and treatment resistance. Much of our work has focused on genitourinary malignancies, including bladder and prostate cancer, but we are interested in the role of DNA repair across tumor types.
The research technician will be part of a rich intellectual and collaborative environment and will have access to state-of-the-art facilities within the laboratory, the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Harvard Medical School, and other top academic institutions across the Boston Area.
We are seeking candidates with at least two years of availability.
The positions in this job family will assist scientists in performing scientific research, development and/or clinical tasks of varying complexity. In general, they will assist in the set up, operation and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment, monitoring experiments, making observations and calculating and recording results.
