Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and underwrite residential mortgage loan applications to ensure compliance with FHA, VA, and investor guidelines.
  • Analyze credit reports, income documentation, asset statements, and property appraisals to make sound credit decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with loan officers, processors, and other team members to provide timely and accurate loan decisions.
  • Ensure that all loans meet the necessary standards and are in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, changes in regulations, and updates to underwriting guidelines.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.

Qualifications:

  • DE Certification required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of mortgage underwriting experience.
  • Strong understanding of FHA and VA guidelines.
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
