Now Hiring: Process Development & Manufacturing Engineer

📍 Location: On-site | Reedsville, PA

📅 Full-Time | 12 months with possible extension

💲$50.00 to $65 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, results-driven Process Development & Manufacturing Engineer to lead industrialization activities for new product introductions. In this role, you will bridge the gap between product design and manufacturing — ensuring that new products are designed for lean, efficient, and compliant production. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement using Lean principles.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead process development activities for new product introductions (NPI) and product roadmap projects.
• Ensure adherence to product qualification, release processes, and regulatory standards.
• Provide manufacturing input during Product Development Lifecycle Management (PDLM) with a focus on Design for Manufacturing and Testing (DfMAT).
• Optimize capital investments (Capex) for new equipment and process upgrades.
• Ensure process and equipment capability meets product specifications and testing requirements.
• Define and maintain BOMs (Bill of Materials) and routing master data through PDLM until release.
• Establish inspection and test criteria for components and assemblies.
• Implement design changes in factories and at suppliers driven by PDLM projects.
• Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to streamline operations and reduce waste.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, etc.).
• Manage resources, planning, quality, and cost for industrialization projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related field) required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process development, manufacturing engineering, or industrialization.
• Proven experience with new product introduction (NPI) and process validation.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments (medical device or electronics preferred).
• Familiarity with PDLM or PLM systems, BOM management, and supplier coordination.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
