Join a well-regarded third-party billing firm as an Accounts Receivable Follow-Up Representative, specializing in Profee Medicare. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing department in a freshly remodeled office known for its supportive culture and professionalism. These positions are temp-to-hire, offering a competitive hourly rate of $19-$20 based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Engage with payers to ensure timely resolution of outstanding claims through phone calls, emails, faxes, and online platforms.
Meet and maintain productivity and quality standards as outlined in departmental policies.
Utilize the MPower workflow system, client host system, and other tools to effectively collect payments and resolve accounts.
Adhere to established policies and procedures for both the team and the client.
Be aware of timely filing deadlines for designated payers and initiate appeals when necessary.
Identify and correct medical billing errors, ensuring accurate communication and supporting documentation throughout the recovery process.
Analyze and resolve issues that may delay payments from payers, proactively reducing claim denials.
Understand the processes for underpayments and credit balances, and perform special projects as needed, utilizing Excel spreadsheets to communicate results effectively.
Qualifications:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in insurance collections, specifically in submitting and following up on claims within a Medical Practice, Ambulatory Surgical Center, Hospital, or Medical Billing Company.
Profee Medicare experience is essential.
At least 1 year of experience in Physician/Professional Billing.
Familiarity with the denied claims appeals process.
Knowledge of Workers' Compensation and Personal Injury Protection (PIP) is a plus.
Previous experience in Hospital/Facility or Physician billing is preferred.
Extensive knowledge of individual payer websites, including Navinet and Novitasphere.
Understanding of Medical Terminology, CPT Codes, Modifiers, and Diagnosis Codes.
Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in MS Office, with basic Excel skills required.
Experience with GE Centricity or EPIC PB is preferred.
