We are looking to recruit an Investment Banking Associate – Technology M&A. Our client is a boutique investment bank specializing in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) within the technology sector. As an Investment Banking Associate, you will play a critical role in executing M&A transactions, conducting financial analysis, and providing strategic advisory services to our clients in the technology industry. You will work closely with senior bankers and collaborate with clients to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities as an Investment Banking Associate – Technology M&A

  • Assist in the execution of M&A transactions from initiation to closing, including due diligence, financial modeling, and valuation analysis.
  • Prepare detailed pitch books, offering memorandums, and other marketing materials for client presentations.
  • Conduct market research and industry analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and present strategic recommendations to clients.
  • Manage and mentor analysts, providing guidance on their work and professional development.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including legal, financial, and operational advisors, to ensure smooth transaction processes.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and competitor activity.

Essential Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.
  • 2-4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or a related field, with a focus on technology M&A preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with financial databases is a plus.
