This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Intermediate Web Developer in the United States .

As an Intermediate Web Developer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining high-quality web applications that enhance user experience and performance. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, IT teams, and designers to translate requirements into functional websites, ensuring usability, accessibility, and adherence to best practices. This position involves hands-on development, troubleshooting, and performance optimization, with a focus on cloud migration and modern web technologies. You will have the opportunity to work remotely or on-site while contributing to projects that deliver impactful digital solutions and improve the accessibility of scientific information for a broad audience.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable websites using Microsoft .NET Framework technologies.
  • Writing high-quality, maintainable code with proper documentation, automation, and testing practices.
  • Creating and managing IIS websites following HTML, CSS, and JavaScript best practices.
  • Supporting and troubleshooting web applications and resolving user issues.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver projects on time, and meet milestones.
  • Ensuring web security compliance and implementing necessary updates in coordination with IT security teams.
  • Improving website usability and performance using Human-Centered Design principles and analytics-informed optimizations.
  • Providing performance reports and actionable recommendations based on web analytics.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • US citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
  • 5+ years of web development experience using Microsoft .NET Framework technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting applications, working directly with stakeholders on requirements gathering, design, and coordination.
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET Framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and cloud-based web development.
  • Experience with cloud migration and modern web performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, PageSpeed Insights, Bing Search tools, and other web performance monitoring platforms.
  • Knowledge of graphic design tools, WordPress, PHP, and AWS technologies is a plus.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools such as GitHub, Visual Studio, and SQL Server (preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a remote or on-site team environment.
