We're a rapidly growing CPA practice seeking a full-time Junior Manager to join our team. About the Role:
As a Junior Manager, you'll play a key role in our team, handling complex tax returns and ensuring our clients receive the best possible service. Your analytical mindset and organizational skills will help you excel in this role, where you'll manage various responsibilities and work closely with clients to meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Return Review & Preparation: Review and prepare complex tax returns, including 1065, 1120-S, 1120 (especially for real estate entities), 1040, and 1041.
- Book Review & Adjustments: Oversee the review of clients' books, ensuring accurate closing and periodic adjustments.
- Ancillary Returns: Assist with the review of 1099s, payroll, sales tax, annual filing fees, and more.
- Engagement Management: Lead client engagements with minimal supervision, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Tax Planning: Focus on identifying tax-saving opportunities and ongoing strategies for clients, including tax projections.
- Research & Resolution: Investigate complex tax issues and develop effective resolutions.
- Data Analytics & Problem-Solving: Utilize your analytical skills to solve problems and provide valuable insights.
- Client Communication: Maintain strong communication with clients and coordinate with their other advisors as needed.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience: 5+ years of public accounting experience in taxation.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting required; a Master's in Taxation is a plus.
- Certifications: CPA preferred.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize work, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Technology: Proficiency in Word, Excel, QuickBooks (both online and desktop), Adobe Pro, CFS Payroll, and BNA. Experience with CCH Axcess (or ProFx) and BNA is preferred.
- Work Style: Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively with others.
