Lewis Rice LLC, a large downtown St. Louis law firm, has an opening for a Corporate Legal Assistant. This position will provide support to three corporate attorneys in the Firm. Experience with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, time entry and document management systems is required. A typing speed of 70+ wpm, transcription, and a minimum of two years legal secretarial experience is also required. Qualified candidates will be detail-oriented, possess excellent communication skills, possess excellent grammar and proofreading skills and have strong organizational/filing skills.

The hours of the position are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The position offers an excellent salary commensurate with experience and an excellent comprehensive benefits package including major medical plans, 401(k) plan, and paid parking.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college-level courses preferred
• More than one year of professional law firm office or related experience
• Any equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Requirements:

• Ability to type 70WPM or better
• Knowledge of basic spelling, grammar and punctuation rules
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Computer Programs (particularly Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel) and the Internet
• Organizational, time management and prioritization skills required
• Knowledge of general office procedures required; knowledge of law firm office procedures preferred
